Hop Right In!

I believe that salt is to food, what food is to life. In right proportions, it can heighten the taste of what you eat..and in the wrong - destroy! Even the most delicious sweets come added with some salt...to taste!

As for me, I've never enjoyed cooking. And as contrary to my owning a food-blog as it may sound, I always think about daily, routine cooking as a chore. But my tryst with the pots and pans began when I got a kitchen all to myself...I began experimenting and exploring new worlds in my own home. Some outcomes were excellent and some plain disasters. Then sprouted the need to keep track of all those good ones...and hence this blog!

Here, I share those experiments that pleased more than one palate!

An Award To Remember!

Some Salt To Taste has been on the web for about 10 months now, but I found few avenues to really get it noticed. All I did was toy with the tiresome idea of 'Followers' that Blogger provides for. Then one fine day, something spectacular happened!

I stumbled upon a page on Facebook called Cook-curry Nook. I had seen posts regarding it flying around ...and interesting comments too, but never went further to explore (They call it laziness, yes!). One day, when the good-mood-angel cast her spell on me, I clicked on this little 'Smiling face' and found a plethora of amazing recipes....and not much later did I discover that it was my own school-mate Madhuri who this blog belonged to. I saw the lovely work she had been doing, which re-fueled my interest and had me (re)working on my own recipe blog. I'm guessing I've posted a lot more interesting dishes after connecting with her than I did previously.

And today, I opened my inbox expecting nothing more than boring mails and banal forwards....But, was I surprised or what!? An award? Seriously Madhuri, do you think my work out here deserves that? I've always told her when we chat that I could perhaps get a 'Laziest-Blogger' award or worse even, something on the lines of 'Get-outta-kitchen-ASAP' award. But, here is what she gave me...

WOW! Thanks gurl. This is simply such a sweet thing to do! You made my day...and, you continue to be a true source of inspiration for lazy cooks like me. And, before I start sounding like I am writing a testimonial (hmm.. but this is something to that effect, really!) on a social networking site, I'd like to say just one thing...

Thank You, Madhuri!!
