Spicy Fried Bananas

Yes, you could say I'm going bonkers over bananas. Not too long ago it was Banana Cake and now fried bananas. Hmm, but little can be done when you want to eat something nice without much effort. So, this little dish is not only easy to make but is the perfect pair for South Indian rice delicacies.

Ingredients
1 Cooking Banana (raw), peeled and sliced
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Urad dal (split black gram)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tbsp Chillie Powder
Oil
And, of course, some salt to taste!!

Method
- Heat oil in a skillet
- Add the mustard seeds and once they splutter add the urad dal and fry
- Toss in the banana slices and stir fry for about a minute
- Add the salt, chillie powder and turmeric powder and fry until the slices are coated well with the spices
- Close and allow the banana slices to cook, stirring occasionally
Serving Suggestion
Serve as a side dish with rice and sambar or just about any other rice preparation you like.
